Egodysentery is a funny new word. Freud gave us Ego. Bad food and dirty water gave us dysentery.
The Ego and the Self often get confused. Who’s who?
But then most words are confusing and mean so many different things...
So, maybe forget the words and listen to the silence for a while.

A conceptual album. The recognition and release of the Ego. By accepting it one can grow beyond it.

It was great fun doing this project. A reunion of some of my best friends!

Joe Vanderlinden was a definite part of this,  not only musically but also Spiritually.
Hope the future holds more collaboration.

Joe Played the bass and the guitars Almost all of them!

The pearl drum kit was played by Gino Fabbri

All samples devised by ced and edited by Mike McCormack
All instruments were played live, no ugly sequencers in sight.

There is no wish to offend, merely stimulate thinking, feeling…

Ok, so the world is not totally perfect, actually, it’s quite a piece of shit. There are no answers, only questions, no destination, only a path. But if you stop asking questions and you stop looking for the path you might as well not exist

Searching for a miracle (A case of Egodysentery)

Let me introduce myself,
Me, Moi, Io, my three egos I dispel.
Let me guide you through the blindness
Let me be the dog of righteousness
At the end of the trip you can always come back and find words to attack

I’ll be waiting, like a fern that grows, buried in the shadows

Chorus

Searching for a Miracle
Can you face the loneliness
Reach the rope to repossess
Searching for a Miracle
Can you find it in yourself
To release your ego spell

Super ego soaring high
Meteopathic (Affected by the weather), Id wont understand why
Don’t be scarred I’ll fall down,
So you can keep your head underground
I inflict and I know, must get on with the show, must learn and must grow

I’ll be searching and I’ll be silent…

The neon captured the sun
We must find a new faith to rest upon
Do not search for the answer
Evil wind will chase away your laughter
Have we reached no return?
Tragedies unfurl, heading for a "New World"

I’ll be rambling and words mean naught, Only here to distraught

Surfing on the Moon

Well good day, how are you?
What is it that you do?
Shake my hand but don’t dig deeper!
Don’t say; "I would like to know you"

Can you see my point of view?
Will you listen to my story?
I can cut myself in two
If you don’t like the full length picture

Chorus:

I’ve been surfing on the moon
And I jumped right through the clouds
And if the tide comes in too soon
I’ll teach you to breathe with your eyes
And if you float like a balloon
And your neurons coincide
Midnight will shower you with noon
Simply to test your soft disguise
Show me your naked eyes
Rain will fall from pregnant skies

Be my friend or be my slave
There’s a price on every face
Sell your faith or buy your soul
We all end up in unmarked graves

What I think can be quite strange
Lives unused to lapsing freedom
Everything can be arranged
Close your eyes and loose your reason

Sounds of laughter clapping hands
Underneath the blasting band
Hold on to the bitter end
Will the strangers understand?

Something in between

A little information that will keep you grinning
A little affirmation that will keep you fighting smiling dying
And the desperate souls will slide
Persecuting prisons will collide

Bridge:

The silence of the beast is the power
The secret will decease in the tower
You can’t convince a gun with a flower
You can’t light up the sun with a fire

Chorus:

Take a bite, taste the skin
There’s always something in between
Pick a fight, learn to win
There’s always something in between

A firm appreciation for things that don’t last
A constant ignorance of what life is about, no past, too fast
The sarcastic sermons will decide
Embellished words will deprive our pride

Eagle dream

Eagle soar, Eagle fly
Eagle will refuse to die
Eagle soar, Eagle cry
Eagle sees all from the sky
In the cold desert wind
Spread your wings, spread your wings

Eagle dance, Eagle calls
Eagle glide into your soul
Eagle scream, Eagle calls
Eagle will refuse to fall
Feathered dream be my friend
‘Till the end
‘Till the end

Eagle dream, Eagle sigh
Eagle will refuse to die
Eagle soar, Eagle cry
Eagle will be crucified, refuse to die, be crucified

God’s on strike again

Through the power of the sword
Is the power of the Lord
When the strength is in your faith,
You will never hesitate
God is our guilt dumping ground
No one else to blame around
Self-fulfilling prophecy
Saving is the guarantee
Blaming someone for this mess
Not our fault ‘cause we’ve been blessed
Praise a wooden parody
Laugh in marble Sanctuary
Fear what we can’t understand
Washing off our dirty hand
Masquerade atrocity…
And you can’t place the blame on me

Stood on a hill, to watch the sun (son) die, alone
Water stood still, and I was the river, alone
And the angels tumbled down
And the creatures underground

So god’s on strike again, I need you when you’re not around

The Mongrels in their feathered sins
Checking in with broken wings

Forgot to play, time a chain around my head, astray
I heard you say, and the bread became a viper, astray
And the demons played the game
And the people grew insane

So god’s on strike again,
I need you when you’re not around
So god’s on strike again,
And the sun keeps going down

The mongrels in their feathered skins
Checking in with broken wings

Show me your hand, and the colour of your wisdom, forever
Feel burning sand, the discomfort of your freedom, forever
And the angels tumbled down
And the creatures underground
So god’s on strike again,
I need you when you’re not around
So god’s on strike again,
And the sun keeps going down

The mongrels in their feathered skins
Checking in with broken wings

Where did the people go?

My tribe has been at war
For as long as I remember
And it’s hard to keep the score
When no one can surrender
I’ve seen trouble in the land
In all kinds of dimension
They make all kinds of demand
Is this our destination?

 Bridge:

But he’s a man
Who bleeds the same as you
But he’s a man
Who feels the things you do
We rape our virgin daughters
And murder all our sons
Animal urges frowned upon?!
March to war and beat the drum
Step on my turf I’ll shoot to kill
Politics is what it takes
Suffering for their will
When honour is at stake

 Bridge

Chorus:

Where did the people go?
Replace by creatures of war
Where did the people go?
Now we want more, more, more
Where did the people go?
Where did the people go?
Where did the real people go?

Prison mind longs to discover
Stolen sights of freedom gone
If the horizon should recover
Some basic changes must be done
The forgotten ancient wars
Are screaming all the warning signs
Linear time we will stand for
Don’t you dare get out of line

Happy with your life

Out of the migraine came the future
Out of the migraine came the past
Out of the slumber of intrusion
Know that nothing ever lasts

Farming the fish of everyday
Self adoration cannot be
Camping the price you’ll have to pay
To be part of the family

Dreaming to have you haven’t got
Asking too much to be happy with your lot

Chorus:

In the disillusion of the day will be,
The key to realize
Don’t you try to hide your urging fantasy
Just be, Happy with your life

Sucking the goodness out of earth
Head underground so you can grow
Even the mutants can give birth
Something to live or to die for

Simple speech out of reach
Face the clock and get
Happy with your lot

You’ll have to check all my credentials
That I must hide just to stay free
Freedom is futile and essential
To feed the burning entity
Killing to have you haven’t got
Wanting too much to be
Happy with your lot

Casting aside what you don’t need
Needing the power of the free
Giving the longing out of greed
Live in modern reverie

White Zone (extract from a musical)

I saw a billion empty faces
Chasing a million empty spaces
Keep left, Pass right
You’ll get home tonight

Judgment is near
Time disappears
Keep left, Pass right
You’ll get home tonight

White Zone, take me home
White Zone, take me home

New World

(to the Techno bunny who didn’t get home last night)

Beautiful people only allowed
Only the look and not in the mind
Shrinking the thought, sinking aloud
Dreaming for things that you cannot find

Bridge:

You are the center
You are the one
Will you remember?
Who really won?

Chorus:

Welcome, to a new direction
Welcome, to the dusk of dawn
Welcome, then release protection
Welcome, blood across the lawn

Imagination already controlled
Insemination to enter your soul
Calling the sick to heal and to tell
Wishing to be someone but yourself

Of course you are the core of the world
Yielding the knife that cut through your head
You are the "I" and Freud is a girl
The crown of wood dies and rots in your bread

The moon, the sun, time and the earth

Hey sister moon
Where you gonna hide?
Hey sister moon
When there are no clouds?

Where’ you gonna go?
When the sun says hello
What you gonna say?
Did you learn to play?

What you gonna do?
I got news for you
We’re all going down
Don’t believe the pound

Hey brother sun
Where you gonna run?
Hey brother sun
When the day is done?

Fight the dark with light
Where did you learn to fight?
And if you take a rest
Adding to the stress

Where you gonna be
Forgotten fantasy
RA will conquer all
And in the end we fall

We must believe
That we’re the center of the universe
We must believe
This world is getting too absurd
Egodysentery the curse
Egodysentery the curse

Hey father time
Hiding all the signs
Hey father time
Life the only crime

Curses from the dead
The cause of all regrets
Shape of things to come
Point to the other one

You will not forgive
And you cannot relive
Waiting for no one
Waking up the sun

Hey mother earth
Who you gonna love?
Hey mother earth
Who you gonna love?

What you must Deny

Docile in the face of desperation
Fake smile of the revelation sigh
Confrontation and isolation
Is what you must deny

Plastic the relation with ourselves
Frantic racing to the day we die
Confrontation and isolation
Is what you must deny

Casting all the sanctuaries
‘cause you can’t dream a fantasy with me
I can taste our treasured time.
But you won’t be mine
Please don’t be mine

Crippled by the thought of self survival
Rippled water calm before goodbye
Insulation and aggravation
Is what you must deny

Casting all the sanctuaries
‘cause you can’t dream a fantasy
leaving all you want to please
And I will end up on my knees
Craving all the reveries
And you won’t dream a fantasy with me
I can taste our treasured time
But you won’t be mine
Please don’t be mine

The shakedown

I’m shaking the raindrops from my Armour
Dripping on your Persian rug
Slipping the gun from its warm black holster
Cleaning the blade run out of luck

Do you care?
Do you dare?
The killer a stranger to deceive
So easy to create unease

Now comes the shakedown
Wash off the blood
Face up to the guilt’s of crime
Remove the slug

I’m shaking the cobwebs from your ceiling
Dropping them on your mirror view
Slapping some paint on the chips and cracks
Hurling the shadows onto you

Smoldering ashes fall from grace
Handing the matches to confess
Washing the petrol on my ugly face
Watching the fire do the rest

Songs of breathing

A mad man jitters is praise as the ebony of night falls short of reason
A sad man looses his face as the ivory of light climbs from the season

I wanna to sing your songs of breathing
I wanna learn how to be brave?

A poor man treasures his space
As the malicious hands of life slump to his grave
A rich man suffers his race as the ferocious fiction frontline is not saved

I wanna to sing your songs of breathing
I wanna learn how to be brave?

A song for you
A song for me
A song for freedom
I want to sing you songs of breathing

A song for us
A song for them
A song for leaving
I want to sing you songs of breathing
I want to sing you songs of breathing

A sick man hides his disgrace as the hands of divine lies rest on his days
An old man touches his face as he discovers his old dreams stored out to graze
I wanna to sing your songs of breathing
I wanna learn how to be brave?

A song for you
A song for me
A song for freedom
I want to sing you songs of breathing

A song for us
A song for them
A song for leaving
I want to sing you songs of breathing
I want to sing you songs of breathing
